I Want To Play For Black Stars – Charles-Jesaja Herrmann

C. K Akonnor, the former coach of Ghana Son Charles Jesaja Akonnor has declared his intention to play for the Black Stars over Germany. 

Jesaja Akonnor was born in Germany to the former Ghana captain and has represented the Europeans at the youth level but he is yet to make a senior national team appearance.

Charles-Jesaja Herrmann was said to have been born in Germany where he has since been living with her mother. the son of the former Black stars coach is said to be playing for  Kortrijk on a loan agreement by his club Wolfsburg.

According to the player, he has very strong ties with Ghana and would be very happy if he could gain a call up into the senior national soccer team popularly known as the Black Stars.

He further revealed that he is aiming at playing at the world cup and would start by focusing on getting playing time so he can start scoring goals for his club and get a call to join the national team.

The footballer who has played three league games for Kortrijk in the Jupiter Pro League added that he knows a lot of the Ghanaian players like the Ayew brothers. “I can name a lot of Ghanaian footballers. I follow them. The Ayew brothers. Sulley Muntari. I watched them all in the World Cup in 2006. Asamoah Gyan.

Michael Essien. Because of Essien, most Ghanaians want to play for Chelsea. They’re like legends. Yes and my dad of course. Abedi Pele, Tony Yeboah,” he added.
