Wendy Shay and other top female African acts recruited for a UN song

Multi-award winning Ghanaian female songstress, Wendy Shay born Wendy Asiamah Addo has been selected as a part of top female artiste from Africa for a United Nations campaign against domestic abuse theme song dubbed, Red Card.

Among the top female vocal powerhouses who were recruited for this project includes, Nocembo Zikode, the Jerusalema hitmaker from South Africa, Soraima Ramos from Cape Verde, Spice Diana from Uganda and Pèrola from Angola. The song which is aimed at amplifying the global voice against domestic violence premieres at tomorrow, 25th May, 2022 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

The song was produced by multi-hitting making producer, Mix Master Garzy and executively produced by Akeju.

The event is powered by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and United Nations Population Fund ( UNFPA) with support from Federation of Internationale Football (FIFA)
